That's what I do and it works well for me. Like Tracie says, this is a huge accomplishment and I'm so proud of you!!!Hayleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05159424236340067899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3207057556091284358.post-87127806030358966862008-11-02T13:41:00.000-08:002008-11-02T13:41:00.000-08:00Ok P do I need to say it? That's saying something all by itself. ~~~ HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT!! Next, yup, the stopping will get ya', if you're body's not used to crazy miles of running then the muscles are going to tighten up. Key is to stay moving and stretching them out - or even if you have to stop for that pee break or to get the dog, stretch the legs a little before you continue. ~no biggie, lesson learned. Just this next week be careful running with those sore, tight muscles that are still hurting from the run. You don't want shin splints and injuries. Just STRETCH, STRETCH, STRETCH!! Does your gym have a sauna? When my muscles hurt so bad I can barely move, I take a bottle of water (hydration is key) and lay in the sauna for 15 or 20 minutes and it will normally loosen those tight muscles up a LOT! Way to finish the run! And honestly, it doesn't matter if you run or run/walk, the goal is to finish.Traciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06278904886545331722noreply@blogger.com
